Make Flight For A Better Future

Way to Learning the First Steps
Throughout the First Quarter in ICT, I’ve encountered a lot of things that made me more capable of widening my horizon about what the internet has made us evolve into the world we are right now. With such fascinating topics that catch your interest, it was a long run, but I learned a lot—not just academically, but also values that I can keep with me.
I have discovered quite a lot about how the internet was developed and is now proven to have made life easier and advanced—its uses, pioneers, apps developed, etc. Unfortunately, I still encountered a few drawbacks from when I was learning these things during the First Quarter. It seems like I had no or little information or knowledge about these topics and the understanding, fully grasping these ideas in to mind, as it was quite a lot to absorb.
I admit that it was a
bit hard to take this information into account because it had to take a while
to not mix up the years that happened here or that. But, it did not take a
while to solve and address these problems because I just had to pay attention
and study these topics well, and engage myself more in these things with curiosity
and enthusiasm to learn, not just for academics, but with agility and passion to
know more about interesting facts and information. So, moving on, I will learn
more steadfastly and reflect on what I’ve learn and focus.

Be an Advocate, Promote Health Efficiency
Food security means we can count on having enough to eat. Nutrition security takes it a step further, making sure what we eat gives us the nutrients we need to thrive. We face challenges like poverty, unequal food distribution, and not knowing how to make the most nutritious choices. That's why it's so important for communities, governments, and individuals to take hands and join together to help. By making food and nutrition security a priority, we can build healthier communities where everyone has the chance to be provided with health and care. It's about fairness, health, and allowing everyone to live their life to the fullest. In the end, when we recognize food and nutrition security as a fundamental right, we're not just talking about food – we're talking about people's lives and futures.
In our daily lives, we can start making a difference by being more mindful of our food choices. Like, choosing to support local farmers' markets or community gardens not only helps us eat fresher food but also boosts our local community. Plus, when we learn more about nutrition and share what we know with friends and family, it helps everyone make better choices about what they eat. On a bigger scale, we can get involved in our communities to make sure everyone's needs are met. Whether it's volunteering at a food bank, advocating for policies that help people access healthy food, or just talking about food security with others, every bit counts. It's about realizing we're all part of a bigger picture, and our actions can help make food and nutrition security a reality for everyone.
It's about doing what we can, where we are, to help make sure everyone has access to the food they need to thrive.
Dear Mr. President
I have come to greet you with gratitude and respect as I write this letter to you with the intention of dealing with certain issues that our country is experiencing as of now. I would like first to state my deepest loyalty to our country as a citizen who craves visible improvement and would like to take the highways as much as possible.
First of all, I admit that your contributions and skills have been astonishing so far, and so I am hoping that this continues until the time you step down from your position. I also hereby declare this letter to be harmless and with only the intention to address problems concerning the wellness of your people and the influence we have in our country.I believe you have the enthusiasm to bring great power and pride to the Philippines, for it to be on the same level as it is with quite a few formidable countries that continue to lead in leadership, as we also are right this moment. But would it hurt for you to address Political Instability and the struggles of many Filipinos in our country? Your capabilities and power should have a purpose—a purpose that takes hands and makes flight towards what is good with justice. We are here making ends meet as we face this harsh reality that the Philippines has been going through for generations. Mr. President, I would like to ask you this with all sincerity: when are we going to fathom change? And when are you going to initiate it?
Your subordinates have my doubts as to whether they are taking this seriously, and it saddens me to think about the people who can’t even raise a penny for themselves because of the costs, the inflation, and the taxes they have to pay every single day. It’s a fact that these people are receiving help, but why is it that they seem not to be doing any better than before? Every time I watch the news, not daily but enough for me to know what is going on and what has to be done. I would see that you would fund a project with a huge amount of money, and I would think, this would be a good thing for the people, it’s enough to raise people up from the slums,” but I noticed that you could count the numbers of improvement by hand, and by hand at that. How so, Mr. President? Knowing that a quite of them already had this tainted past—corruption. We may not know who they are, but we know there will always be.
I just hope you don’t wait for us to struggle, to be broken, and for the need to survive this cruelty when you are there to help us out and we cannot deny the fact that it is your duty, your responsibility, and you should oblige to what you should do—hindi kami tao lamang, dahil tao mo kami.
I’m not asking for a lot, and I’m not wishing for more, although your opinion in these floating issues is mostly crucial for deciding what should be done. So, I hope you are going to take part in solving the issue at hand.
That’s all, thank you.

Her Reflections
I am Aleina Reeze T. Abonita, and I’m a 10th-grade student. I used to be a lot when I was young. I loved to explore, and I was always curious about things that caught my eye. Now, my only hobbies are writing, such as love letters, stories, poems, or simply journaling. I am also an artist, and I love to paint and sketch landscapes, scenes, and objects. I also read a lot of physical books like classics, mythology stories, novels, and even series. I binge-watch a lot of movies, anime, and series. I enjoy watching movies that have romance, thriller, and gore, but I can watch almost anything as long as it’s a good watch. Among all these things, writing is the hobby that I cherish the most. It gives me a sense of validation because writing makes me feel heard, and I seem to arrange my thoughts better when I write.
Within the boundaries of our school, I tried my best to concentrate and dedicate myself to studies since I know it’s a necessity to graduate with flying colors. When I’m studying, I catch myself being drained a lot from schoolwork. There are days so mundane that I find studying to be a little bit more difficult than usual. To avoid situations like that, I would always take a moment to relax and manage my time for myself and studies, as well as my extracurricular activities such as journalism, clubs, sports, and other school activities. Though it never held me back from being something more than just an “average student” because there’s this burning passion in me that hopes that one day, I will become the person that I’ve always wanted to be. To finally stand beside my dreams and head held high above, to be proud of what I’ve become and what I’ve achieved in life—I wanted to be something more than labeled as “just”.
I could say that life has been quite a toll as it is for everyone else. I developed a few changes from when I started going to high school, but two things that stayed with my every being were that I never failed to understand, or rather, I was the spitting image of empathy. I may never be in their situation, but I embodied it as something that was mine to take. I was even aware when I was about to make mistakes, and yet I’d still do it with the knowledge of knowing what would happen to me. Why? I wanted to learn from them. Mistakes are not just mistakes; they are the ones that change the way we are now. Sometimes, choosing the harder way can be proof that I am something more—that I have something more. It was painful to feel too much and grieve too much over something that never have I held in my hand before. Yet, it also stopped me from becoming someone who was led by the greed & cruelty of things that held people accountable.
With this trait I had, I learned to love people better and understand even when people seem to misunderstand them for things they never did. I came to love myself more and more by the day because I wanted to fathom change, but not because I hated the way I was before; I wanted to change to reflect. It was to become someone better, someone people can open up to, and rely on when things get a little too heavy to bear. So, this led me to be self-aware, and that made me act quick when I started to realize that I had bad habits that I needed to change.
Well, I am also very attentive. I wouldn’t be going around pretending
not to read the room when just a slight movement, expression, or tone —I’ll
know what’s going on. The same goes academically, scared as a cat I am when I find
myself not being able to understand a thing or two about a lesson. It was
getting harder to keep up, but I knew my worth a
ll too well, so I never backed
down. I faced these challenges with fear in my face, “Here we are.”
I thought I was attentive because I had to hold my stand as an SSC student, but it occurred to me that I was just like that, and what a blessing. So, with the ability to pay close attention to things that people sometimes fail to notice, it made me a lot more confident to speak up because of my ability to notice and observe a little better.
